| CARING FOR THE POOR AND DISADVANTAGED
High unemployment, poor health care and inadequate education are both causes and indicators of crushing poverty in Honduras. In these conditions, a great number of displaced children in Honduras have no one to provide for them or protect them in their vulnerability. Without intervention, these children are destined to repeat the hopeless cycle of unemployment, disease and illiteracy that has so tragically affected their young lives. We are working to stop this devastating cycle through the programs listed below.

| THE BRIDGE HOUSE
The Bridge House was started in 2003 when the first of our children reached majority. The program was born out of the desire to provide transitional steps between the adolescent years and the challenges associated with adulthood and independence. The home provides a safe place for young people to explore their interests and capacities while working toward personal goals and building the foundation for a hopeful future. They have the opportunity to receive a university scholarship and practice the skills necessary to develop healthy personal relationships and live safely in an urban environment.
