Objective
The objective of WGO-AMP is to reach out to potential churches, teams, individuals, businesses, etc. to partner with World Gospel Outreach and their mission to “Reach Honduras for Christ” and mobilize Christians to take action.
What do WGO Ambassadors do?
WGO Ambassadors advocate for WGO. They speak in churches, at small groups, in Sunday school classes, with different friends and individuals, etc., with the goal of mobilizing Christians to take action against poverty in Honduras. Ambassadors seek to share the story of WGO and their service for the Kingdom.
- Managing Ambassadors: Serve to recruit Regional Ambassadors and support all general program development efforts
- Regional Ambassadors: Support Managing Ambassadors and, like Managing Ambassadors, advocate at their local/regional level for WGO
- Service Ambassadors: Support all program efforts behind-the scenes
What responsibilities does an Ambassador have?
- Regional Ambassadors and regular Ambassadors are responsible for completing training online and by conference calls
- Arrange 2-3 presentations/year at churches, organizations, businesses, etc.
- Be a resource in your region.
- Participate at the AMP- Annual Summit Meeting
- Meet with other regional leaders every quarter month for at least one year.
What qualifications are needed to become an Ambassador?
Ambassadors are people who have demonstrated devotion to Christ and to living a Christian lifestyle. Ambassadors are committed to:
- supporting WGO in some way other than an Ambassador (with prayer, donations and/or service, etc.)
- working as a team with people from different denominations
- serving in their local church
- investing time in their ambassador work
- supporting WGO’s vision, mission and values
- working under the direction of a Regional or Managing Ambassador
How do I become an Ambassador?
You can contact us by filling out our Ambassador inquiry form or you can fill out an ambassador application online. Once you complete the application or inquiry form, someone from WGO will contact you.
What kind of training do Ambassadors receive?
Ambassadors go through a self-guided training course that takes approximately three hours. A Regional Ambassador or Managing Ambassador meets with each Ambassador monthly for prayer, support and encouragement. In addition, Ambassadors are encouraged to attend WGO’s Annual Summit Conference for training, encouragement, and updates from staff and team around the United States and in Honduras. Ambassadors also have the chance to learn from and connect with other Ambassadors during webcasts, regional meetings and other forums.
Is there a position open in my community?
Yes, Ambassadors serve in their own community, advocating among the churches, organizations and people they know.
