Since the founding of World Gospel Outreach, about 10,000 volunteers have journeyed to Honduras to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Hondurans. WGO welcomes and supports groups of up to 35 members to come and serve in two ways: Medical Teams and Ranch Teams; however, every team needs a capable and caring leader.
World Gospel Outreach seeks mature, grounded individuals to lead teams for a week-long experience of fun, sacrifice and service to the poor of Honduras. Leaders are encouraged to recruit team members from their own church or circle of influence, although other individuals may be assigned to their team.
Leaders should have the following characteristics:
- Mature, grounded Christian faith
- Commitment to and involvement in a sound, evangelical body of faith
- Proven ability to organize and lead youth, peers and elders
- Passion for the ministry and work of World Gospel Outreach
- Responsibility for gathering donations of materials, supplies and resources
- Wisdom and discernment in emergency situations
- Possess a valid passport
