A YEAR END MESSAGE OF HOPE

Investing in the Future

On a recent visit to Belize, I had the privilege of being on site with Walk By Faith Community Church from Indiana as they built a home for a family in need in the village of Billy White. A number of God “coincidences” brought this project together.

Last year, the same church was distributing food packets and had one extra left. They found one more home to visit — a small, crowded house bursting with children. As they visited with the family, they learned that out of eight children, four were recently adopted orphans that the parents had taken in. The home was full of love but lacking space.

Right then and there, the team decided to return in 2025 with a mission team and the funds to build a simple, comfortable home for this loving family.

When I visited the site this year, I watched the team work tirelessly in the heat and humidity to bless this family. The father, Gladimir Cano, shared that this experience renewed his belief in God:

“I had given up on anything good ever happening in my life,” Mr. Cano said.

Every week, our staff, North American Serve Teams, and missionaries have the privilege of serving families like the Canos—meeting physical needs, sharing the love of Christ, and restoring hope where it has been lost. Stories like this are possible because of the faithful generosity of friends like you who invest in this ministry.

As we wrap up our 41st year of ministry, we are preparing to launch strong into another year of serving those most vulnerable in Honduras and Belize. This year, our leadership team developed a three-year Strategic Plan to guide us through 2026 and beyond — one that strengthens both our spiritual and operational foundations.

Our new Strategic Plan focuses on four key priorities:

  • Expanding Our Geographic Footprint: Partnering with churches, missionaries, and ministries to reach new regions of Honduras, Belize, and beyond—extending hope and God’s love far beyond our campuses.

  • Adding Development Programs to Relief Work: Meeting needs AND building futures—empowering families through vocational training, small business opportunities, and biblical training.

  • Strengthening Our Operations for the Long Term: Investing in people, systems, and infrastructure to build a stronger, more sustainable ministry.

  • Expanding Our Network of Partners: Connecting with new churches, businesses, foundations and individuals to grow the Kingdom together.

By focusing on these priorities, we believe God will open new opportunities to share the Gospel and help families not only meet their needs today but move toward a future of stability and hope.

Will You Invest in the Future?

None of this will be possible without the continued faithfulness of our partners. Our ability to raise funds at the end of this year will directly determine how quickly we can move forward with this vision. Every gift helps us:

  • Share the Gospel with those who have never heard

  • Meet physical and spiritual needs for children and families

  • Build sustainable programs that lift families out of poverty

Would you prayerfully consider investing in this mission — for the good of families like the Canos and for the glory of God?

Your Gift Will Go Twice as Far!

From now until December 31, 2025, our Board of Directors will match every gift received—up to $111,000!

That means your donation today will be doubled to reach more children and families with food, medical care, and the hope of Jesus Christ.

This is an incredible opportunity to multiply your impact and help WGO launch strong into a new season of ministry.

As always, challenges remain. This year, especially in Belize, we have felt spiritual opposition — but that only reminds us we are doing Kingdom work. We ask for your continued prayers and partnership as we follow God’s leading into this next exciting chapter.

Thank you for partnering with us to share God’s love in tangible ways!

In Christ,

Nathan
