What is CarePay?
The new, expanded CarePay program is about finding partners who want to help us meet physical and spiritual needs in Honduras and Belize. At WGO we desire to strengthen the way in which individuals, church members, and Serve Teams are impacted through your own personal spiritual journey. Through our partnership with you, we have been in prayer and strategizing about how we as a ministry can still have a huge impact on the lives of Hondurans, Belizeans, and even you, the believer.
Ministry in the countries of Honduras and Belize does not stop in the midst of a pandemic or any other unexpected event. During this time, there have been locals on the ground in both countries continuing to work with our local partner churches through many phone calls to encourage our network churches, prayers, and when able to give out much-needed food and medication. Through these trying times, many of you have been faithful givers, prayer warriors, and for that, we are truly grateful.
Clean Water
Clean water is a critically important health need in many communities in Honduras and Belize. With your financial gift, we will be able to continue the ministry of providing vital water filters to those most in need. For $105, you are providing the whole package including, a filter, 2 buckets and a custom made stand. This will provide a family with clean water for the years to come.
Serve Team
Joining and serving on a mission trip is a way for you to experience something new and serve in an area that is great need. Being able to work alongside the local church to evangelize in the communities and grow the Kingdom of God is the main goal for coming to serve. There are opportunities to share medicine, food, and build with the locals.
Medical Outreach
Medical outreach is a great way to connect with and evangelize with the Honduran and Belizean people. Your donation can help contract medical staff, purchase medicines, etc. to ensure WGO provides the same basic medical care we have always provided to those most in need right now.
Food Distribution
WGO goes into the communities of our current church partners and gives foods to families in need. This program can be supported through a one time gift or a monthly recurring donation. WGO has estimated 100-150 families per community that could benefit from food relief. You can feed a family of 5 for 10 days for $45. How many families do you want to feed?
CarePay was birthed out of the need to provide support for the people of Honduras and Belize. We are distributing water filters in Honduras and will begin to pass out bags of rice and beans as a way to evangelize and connect them to the local church to nurture their relationship with Christ. Belize is developing feeding programs that are providing lunches for hungry school kids and caring for the people in the communities who need your help.
Education assistance is an incredible need in Honduras and Belize that cannot be overlooked. Through our CarePay program, we will be able to offer things like tuition assistance for elementary, junior, and high school, uniforms, and school supplies, tutoring, etc. Your partnership can be a one time gift or a reoccurring monthly donation.
WGO has been installing concrete floors and Pilas (concrete washbasins) for many years at our Serve Team sites. We have also been able to build a few churches from the ground up. We look forward to partnering with our Honduran and Belizean staff to provide shelter and basic housing.
To enhance our CarePay ministry, we have 2 projects you can donate to, CarePay Honduras and CarePay Belize. Your donations are more efficiently used to maximize the impact we are making in these two countries. More people being served and deeper relationships made.
Your CAREPAY donation will always go to meet your preferred area of interest or might be reallocated to the greatest most pressing need within the CAREPAY programs. This ensures the most impactful use of your gift and meets the tax deductibility requirements of the organization having discretion and control of funds.
