A few of our older teenagers at our WGO Ranch were able to receive a special treat this past week! The teens got to have some time to train with retired professional fútbol players turned coaches! What an amazing time it was!

Mac, Director of Partner Relations, was there for this special event. Let’s hear what he has to say. “I was out visiting the kids at the ranch, drinking great coffee, and enjoying lunch with them when I heard they had practice the following day.” Quickly, Mac found out where they were practicing so he could attend.

“So the next morning I met up with the mentor dads and kids to watch them practice. The coaches said they want to help! And help they did! They all volunteered two hours of their time to give our kids a chance to train. Now they can play their best against the other teams they play.”

Mac goes on to say, “I got to hear the coaches telling one another they would put our kids up against other groups because they were playing so well. I got glory bumps on my arms as I watched the kids playing as one unit and working together to be their best.”

At WGO, we strive to give the most opportunities for success with the kids God has blessed to WGO. From Mentor Parents who pour into their lives, the Children’s Services professional staff, the great food, a bilingual education, and our North American and Honduran staff alike, we want to watch our Ranch Kids grow up to become successful Honduran adults.

You matter and we need your involvement. Can you come teach or be an assistant in the school? Can you lead a team to hang out with the kids, make some much needed improvements around campus, pick some coffee, serve as a missionary? We have many ways to serve, you just have to say YES to God. He’ll take care of the rest.
